From Concept to Prototype
What actually happens between a design study and a garment you can buy — and why we are showing you the middle of it.
Every piece in ADOM begins as a design study: a drawing, a proportion, a decision about cloth. That is what most of the imagery on this site is today, and it is labelled as such.
From there the work is unglamorous. A pattern is drafted, a first prototype is sewn in the intended blend, and it is worn — sat down in, reached in, walked in. Sleeves are usually wrong the first time. Hems usually are too.
Only after that do fit, movement and construction get locked, care instructions get tested, and a design becomes a permanent offering with real photography of the real garment.
We would rather show you this stage honestly than pretend a finished workshop exists behind it.
