Introducing ADOM: Four Lines, One House
ADOM is the founding GYƐ collection. Inside it sit four lines — Heritage, Satin, Matte and Kente — each with a different relationship to cloth.
ADOM is the name of the founding collection, not of a single garment. It exists because one material cannot answer every occasion, and because we would rather be specific than broad.
HERITAGE works in a cotton-linen blend and carries heritage through proportion, modesty, silhouette and tailoring rather than through pattern. SATIN is the occasion line, held to one colour — Royal Blue — in a polyester crepe-back satin, so the cut does the talking. MATTE is the quiet everyday line in cotton-linen, planned in Natural, Charcoal, Seafoam and White. KENTE is the most direct line: statement garments built around handwoven Ghanaian Kente.
Head drapes and scarves sit alongside all four lines and are sold separately, never bundled into a garment price. You should be able to buy the drape without the boubou, or the boubou without the drape.
Everything here is in development. Patterns are being drafted, prototypes sewn, fabrics tested. We will say when each piece becomes a real, repeatable garment.
